Valerico Laccetti (1836-1909) was an Italian painter, mainly of genre subjects. ==Biography== He was born in Vasto, in Abruzzi, and completed his education at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Naples. He then studied under Filippo Palizzi, painting animals in the countryside. At the 1883 International Exhibition at Rome he exhibited a work entitled ''Christus imperat''. Among his paintings are: ''Ricreazione''; ''Una famigliuola''; ''Il racconto della nonna''; ''La tradita''; ''Soldati vecchi e nuovi''; ''Solo!''; and ''Civility makes Ignorance Flee''. These were exhibited in Naples, Turin, and Rome. Laccetti painted many studies of the Roman countryside, and in 1887 in Venice, he exhibited a painting of animals.
